During 2002 / 2003, Walsh Island GAA Club have spent in the region of €80,000 on the renovation of the pitch

The pitch itself has been extended approximately 15 metres.

Eight large floodlights have been erected around the pitch.

Large stop nets have been installed behind each goal.
