Walsh Island beat a strong Durrow team 1-18 to 1-10 to get the Championship off to a winning start. The match was played in Ballycommon on Sunday 23rd April with a good turn out on the fine day. |

Walsh Island, Tullamore, Durrow and Daingean have been drawn together in the group satge of the 2006 Intermediate Championship. The winners of the group will go through to the Semi-Final. |

Walsh Island are through to the Semi-Final of the Intermediate Championship after a very narrow Single Point win over Rhode. The match was played in front of a good crown in Daingean. Walsh Island will now meet the winners of Clonbullogue v. Tubber which is due to take place in the coming week. |

Walsh Island beat Daingean in their second match in the Intermediate championship by a score of 3-06 to 0-14. Walsh Island are now guaranteed a place in the Quarter Finals of the Intermediate Championship. A match report will appear shortly. |

Walsh Island will play parish rivals Bracknagh in Bracknagh on Saturday April 30th at 6:00pm. This match is in the Division 2 League. |

Walsh Island's Championship match with Clonbullogue has been refixed for Friday 22nd of April in Edenderry at 7pm.. |

Walsh Island's Championship match with Clonbullogue was called off due to bad weather only an hour and a half before the game. The match will now be fixed for next weekend in Edenderry. |
