Walsh Island 1-12
Birr 0-06

Walsh-Island travelled to Birr on Sat June 10th to play Birr in the league. The day was fine but a strong wind made it hard to pick off scores for both sides especially playing with the wind as it carried the ball off target on a number of occasions. This game had the smallest amount of spectators, maybe even a record, as apart from teams and officials there was fourteen people at the game with eight of those from Walsh-Island. Walsh-Island were missing a few of their key players but still had a convincing win over the home side with a final tally of 1-12 to 0-6. The scorer's on the day were, Tom Connor 1-2, Rory Connor 0-3, Alan Mulhall 0-3, Martin Comerford 0-2, John Whelan 0-1, Adrian Kelly 0-1.
