Walsh Island 0-11
Bracknagh 1-14

Walsh-Island travelled to Bracknagh without seven first team players and were beaten by six points. It was an opportunity for the fringe players to stake their claim.

Both sides were guilty of bad wide's until Johnny Carroll opened the score for Bracknagh. Alan Mulhall responded immediately to level the score but two quick points for Bracknagh put them two points clear. Joe Nolan and Martin Carty got a point each for Walsh-Island. Joe gave them the lead before Bracknagh asserted themselves with points from Glen Brereton,(2) and David Cassidy before Alan Mulhall pointed a free to leave the score at half time six points each.

The second half continued in much the vain with both teams swapping points until Bracknagh took a foothold in this match with a well taken goal and a quick point left them six points clear. Despite their best efforts Walsh-Island could not reduce the deficit.

Final score was Bracknagh 1-14 Walsh-Island 0-11.
