Walsh Island are through to the Semi Final of the Leinster Intermediate Football Championship after a win of 0-12 to 0-04 over Wexford champions Glynn Barntown. We will now welcome either the Westmeath or Dublin champions to Walsh Island in Sunday Nov. 22nd.

Walsh Island have been drawn against St. Rynagh's in the Intermediate Semi Final. The fixture is provisionally going to take place on the weekend of 12th & 13th September with O'Connor Park being the most likely location.

Walsh Island Junior's secured a hard fought Championship victory over old foes Ferbane by a scoreline of 1-09 to 0-10. Well done to all the lads and especially to Dean Murphy for clocking up a magnificant 1-07 of Walsh Island's tally.

Walsh Island have received a by into the semi final stage of the Intermediate Championship. Ourselves along with Rhode will await the winners of Raheen v. St.Rynagh's and Doon v. Bracknagh. Once the quarter finals are over, we believe it is an open draw for the semi finals. The site has also been updated with Fixtures, Results and the April results of Friends of Walsh Island monthly draw which seem were overlooked.

Walsh Island Intermediate team overcame Kilclonfert in O'Connor Park on Saturday last by a score of 3-18 to 2-03. They now qualify for the knockout stages of the Intermediate Championship. That draw will take place on Monday night.

Walsh Island secured a place in the Division 1 League Final by beating Shamrocks 1-16 to 0-13. Fixture date and time for the final against Gracefield to be announced on Monday or Tuesday

Walsh Island have qualified for the semi finals of the Division 1 League. They have been drawn against Shamrocks and the match takes place in Ballinagar next Sunday June 14th at 5:30pm. This a fantastic achievement by the players and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Walsh Island beat Shannonbridge by a scoreline of 2-17 to 1-10 in their last game of the Division 1 League to finish on 10 points. Rhode are playing Clara on Monday night and should Rhode win that game, Walsh Island will have qualified for the semi finals of the league. There is a link to the league table on the Fixtures page.
